Aaron Ramsey delighted with role of Arsenal midfield in recent resurgence
The Wales skipper has praised Alex Song and Mikel Arteta, whilst also acknowledging the role of fringe players Tomas Rosicky and Yossi Benayoun of late

Aaron Ramsey believes the depth and balance in Arsenal's midfield has been a key factor behind the club's resurgence since October.
The Gunners lost Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City and Barcelona respectively in August, whilst talented centre-midfielder Jack Wilshere has been out with an ankle injury since the summer.
However, the north London side have recovered from a poor start to the campaign, with the Welshman, Mikel Arteta and Alex Song regularly featuring for the Gunners, whilst the 21-year-old has also hailed the depth of the current squad, highlighting the roles of Tomas Rosicky and Yossi Benayoun.
“We’re aware of the qualities players like Tomas and Yossi have – they came in and proved that they have that determination to help the team," the Wales skipper told the club's official website.
“I think they both put in a really good shift [against Wolves]. Yossi scored the winner against [Aston] Villa of course, and everyone was delighted about that.
“He’s settled in very well and is a really nice guy who always has time for you.
“We had a bit of a joke about his goal on the way home – I think he said he was meant to be on the edge of the box when the corner was taken, but he ventured into the area and it didn’t go too badly!”
Ramsey revealed he has been especially pleased with how his partnership with summer-signing Arteta has blossomed, praising the Spaniard's style of play and experience.
“The relationship has definitely grown as the season’s gone on,” he added.
“I think that’s shown in the fact that we’ve each had a number of assists, and even though we can still learn a lot more from each other we definitely have a much better understanding of each others’ games now.
“Mikel has definitely brought good experience to the midfield. We all knew what he was capable of before he came here.
“He was one of the best players at Everton, has a great range of passing and is very intelligent.
“In certain situations where you might need to see a game out he keeps the ball well and calms things down, and his stats prove that.”
