Porto's Alvaro Pereira not fazed by failed summer move to Chelsea: 'I am sure that fate holds something better for me'
The Uruguayan defender says that he is not sad that his transfer to Stamford Bridge did not materialise and insists that he is not unhappy at the Portuguese club

Porto left-back Alvaro Pereira has insisted that he is unperturbed that his transfer to Chelsea failed to materialise.
The Uruguay international was high on the list of targets of Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas last summer, who had worked with the defender at Porto during a very successful 2010-11 season.
However, the Premier League outfit failed to reach an agreement with Porto, who were determined to hold out for the €30 million figure in Pereira's release clause.
"I was glad that such an important club showed interest in signing me," the full-back told Monte Carlo TV.
"If the transfer did not happen it was for some reason, and I am sure that fate holds something better for me.
"I look at this as something positive, rather than a negative thing in my career. All I have to do is look forward and continue to work."
The 26-year-old then rejected suggestions that he has not given his all for Porto this season as he wishes to force his exit.
"Ever since I played in the Copa America, I have not spoken to the Portuguese press and they wrote things like I did not want to play, that I was forcing my exit, that I was unhappy, that there was a bad atmosphere in the dressing room and that the players did not respect the coach," Pereira added.
"Whoever informed those reporters, they did it wrong."
Pereira, who joined Porto from CFR Cluj in 2009, has a contract with the Europa League holders until 2016.
