Vedad Ibisevic, whose proposed move to Blackburn fell through last summer, has ruled out leaving Hoffenheim in the January transfer window.

The Bosnia international striker was close to agreeing a switch to Ewood Park in the close season but a knee injury prevented him from undergoing a medical and the deal was abandoned, but Rovers will have to look elsewhere if they wish to strengthen up front over the winter.

“I am a player of Hoffenheim and I have a contract with the club,” Ibisevic insisted to Sportinformationsdienst.

“I will be turning out for Hoffenheim after the winter break as I'm not going to move clubs.”

The 27-year-old has been at the German club since 2007, scoring 48 goals in 122 appearances so far for the Bundesliga side.

The former Paris Saint-Germain, Dijon and Aachen striker has been capped 34 times for his country, with eight international strikes to his name.
