thumbnail Hello,

The Uruguayan, who was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra following the FA's verdict on Tuesday, is in from the start while Craig Bellamy drops to the bench for the Reds

The big team news from the DW Stadium is that Luis Suarez starts for Liverpool against Wigan just a day after he was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

There were doubts over whether boss Kenny Dalglish would pick the Uruguayan so soon after the FA's announcement, which Suarez himself described as being a "painful day" after he was handed an eight-match ban and fined £40,000.

The former Ajax man has, however, been given the nod while Maxi Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt both also start against Roberto Martinez's side.

Craig Bellamy drops to the bench for the Reds while Jonjo Shelvey also missed out on a place in the starting XI.

For Wigan, Martinez goes with the same XI that drew with Chelsea last time out meaning Jordi Gomez continues in midfield after scoring the equaliser against the Blues, while Conor Sammon keeps his place up front.

Liverpool starting XI:
Reina; Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique; Henderson, Adam; Downing, Maxi, Kuyt; Suarez

Subs: Doni, Carroll, Coates, Carragher, Shelvey, Kelly, Bellamy

Wigan starting XI: Al Habsi; Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa; Stam, Diame, McCarthy, Jones; Moses, Gomez; Sammon
