Everton boss David Moyes reveals club have yet to receive any bids from Chelsea for Jack Rodwell
The Toffees manager has denied reports suggesting the England international is on his way to Stamford Bridge, but has conceded players could depart if a substantial offer arrives
By Shane Farrington
Rodwell has been heavily linked with a £20 million switch to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, but Moyes has revealed the Toffees have yet to be contacted by the west Londoners.
"I have had no offers, no contact from Chelsea - there would not be any other words I could add to that," he told reporters.
"There is nothing from me. We've had no phone call."
Everton’s financial problems saw them only make two loan signings last summer, while they offloaded Mikel Arteta, Jermaine Beckford and Yakubu for approximately £16m.
However, Moyes is adamant his side will only consider big-money offers from rival clubs in the future for their star players.
He added: "We've always said if anyone wants to bid for the players we can't stop that happening but what we do do is sell expensively.
"If we are sellers we are always expensive sellers."
