Paddy Kenny is available for QPR and could come in for Radek Cerny, who produced some top drawer saves against Manchester United but allowed a timid Michael Carrick shot to go in at his near post.

Anton Ferdinand misses the match against his former club due to a hamstring injury and could be replaced by Fitz Hall, while defensive partner Danny Gabbidon is a doubt with a gashed leg. Striker Jay Bothroyd is also a concern for the hosts with a knee injury.

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is without Fraizer Campbell, Michael Turner, Craig Gordon and Simon Mignolet due to injuries, but otherwise has no concerns.
