Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp insists he does not want to sell either Roman Pavlyuchenko or Jermain Defoe in the January transfer window.

Having found themselves unable to hold down a regular first-team place, both frontmen have suggested in recent times they may be forced to look elsewhere for more frequent football in the New Year, with both keen to stake a claim for a place at Euro 2012.

But while he understands his players’ grievances, Redknapp maintains he would like to keep all his strikers at White Hart Lane as he looks to preserve Spurs’ top four challenge.

"It is difficult,” the Spurs boss told reporters. “Pav's an international, who has got the Euros coming up and of course wants to play. It's hard. It's like Defoe.

"But I'd like to keep all four of them. You need your strikers."
