Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen insists the team are determined to bounce back from their late defeat at the hands of Sunderland, and has targeted two victories from their next two home games.

Steve Kean’s men were leading with seven minutes to play at the Stadium of Light on Sunday but two fantastic strikes from David Vaughan and Sebastian Larsson turned the game on its head.

The Norwegian international believes Rovers can use the pain from that defeat to spur them on as they hope to collect the maximum six points from the games against West Brom and Bolton in front of their own fans.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: “We want to win the two home games and then we will be out of the relegation zone.

“It hurts to lose and it hurt on Sunday but we have now to work hard for West Brom and then for Bolton.

“Sunderland was harsh on us but we have to put Sunday out of the way. It's history and we now have to focus on West Brom. They had a tough time against Wigan and lost and we play some nice football at Ewood.

“West Brom and Bolton are two extremely big games for us but you can only take one game at a time.

“We will forget about Sunday and focus on the West Bromwich game. Hopefully we can get a few more players available we have been unlucky over the last few weeks.

“We got good numbers of players back for the Swansea match but then it happened again with injury hitting us - but we have to work hard with the players that we have got.”

Rovers will be hoping to welcome back Ruben Rochina, Steven Nzonzi and maybe Junior Hoilett for the game on Saturday.

Pedersen added: “We are all in it together. We win games together and we lose games together. We just want to win games.

“When you lose it is not fun - but the feeling after we beat Swansea was fantastic and we want that feeling again.”
