Liverpool's Charlie Adam laments the loss of midfield partner Lucas Leiva
The Brazilian is set to miss the season after damaging his knee in Tuesday’s victory over Chelsea, but Kenny Dalglish is confident he has enough quality within his squad

The Brazilian international has partnered Adam in all but one of the Reds’ 13 Premier League matches this season, but now the former Blackpool man must adjust to life without the defensive midfielder, starting in Monday’s match away at Fulham.
"We have been playing well together but he is a top Brazilian international and has been fantastic for us," Adam told liverpoolfc.tv.
"He's gutted but we are all behind him and giving him support. I texted him the other day and told him he will come back stronger mentally and physically a better player.
"He has had a lot plaudits for the whole season. We are all really sad for him because he's been one of the best players for us again this season.
"He's a terrific player and it's a big blow for us. He is going to be a loss.”
Manager Kenny Dalglish has recalled 19-year-old midfielder Jonjo Shelvey from his loan spell at Blackpool to provide cover, although he has ruled out doing the same for Italian playmaker Alberto Aquilani who is currently at AC Milan.
The Scottish boss remained confident in the ability of his squad to continue without the Brazilian, insisting they have enough cover to cope in the 24-year-old's absence.
“Last Tuesday we made seven changes and there is not one of them who let themselves or us down.
"That's the thing that is going to keep us going - the momentum and strong dressing room we have.
"We have to accommodate injuries and suspensions. We would much rather have Lucas fit than injured but we have a strong squad and we have people in the squad who can step in.”
