Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel impressed by fightback win against West Brom
The stopper has revealed his delight at the character his team-mates showed to win 3-1 against the Baggies at the weekend, and feels Harry Redknapp’s team talk played a key part
By Shane Farrington
The north London outfit fell behind early on but a brace from Emmanuel Adebayor and a goal from Jermain Defoe saw Spurs continue their superb recent run of form.
The former Aston Villa shot-stopper also claimed Spurs boss Harry Redknapp’s half-time team talk helped his team-mates to find their form and close the gap on Manchester City and Manchester United at the top of the table.
"Whenever you are down in the Premier League and you can come back and win it shows a great deal of character,” he told the club's official website
"At no time did we doubt the talent in the room but it's never easy to claw your way back, especially playing the way we were and with the other team at the top of their game.
"The gaffer had a few words with the lads at half-time and then the real Tottenham came out in the second-half."
