Wayne Rooney has recovered from a hip injury to start for Manchester United in their Premier League clash with Newcastle.
The England forward missed the Champions League draw with Benfica in midweek but has been deemed fit enough to face the in-form Magpies at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, fellow striker Danny Welbeck is still not ready to feature, as United try to move to within two points of rivals Manchester City at the top of the table with a win against Alan Pardew's men.
But the Magpies are also in good form, sitting fourth in the table, and have star striker Demba Ba in their line-up, as well as playmaker Hatem Ben Arfa, who is returning to form after a year out with a broken leg.
