Ji-Sung Park is confident that Manchester United’s experience will play a key role in securing victory when his team clashes with Swansea City on Saturday.

The South Korean believes that Swansea’s fans are some of the most dedicated in the Premier League and United will need to show resolve to prevent the crowd from getting to them.

“It will be the first time I’ve played against Swansea and I’m also looking forward to it because we don’t usually play in Wales,” he told the Red Devils' official club website.

“A home crowd, with its passion and aggression, can affect the game but we have experience of dealing with crowds and we know we can deal with it.

“Mentally you have to be strong, particularly in away games at the places where the fans are very passionate. But we know how to quieten the fans so we’ll try our best in the early part of the game to do that. We have to show our ability for that. Then we can get a result."

Swansea have proved tough opponents to the Premier League elite thus far this season and Park thinks his team could find it hard to break the home team down.

“Swansea have played very well recently and they’re not afraid to play football against the big teams, like Liverpool away for example. So I think it will be a great game," he added.

“Their draw against Liverpool tells us this could be a big challenge for us, as Anfield is a difficult place to play and they’re playing us at home so they will naturally have more confidence. It will be a tough game for us but hopefully we can get a good result because we need the three points.”

United are currently five points behind leaders Manchester City in the table and Park says his team will not be phased if City pick up another victory on the weekend when they face Newcastle United.

Park added: “It’s still a long time until the end of the season, so we’re not afraid of that. We have experience of the title race so we know how to deal with the pressure.”
