'It's only a matter of time until Fernando Torres gets back to his best' - Goal.com's Rob Stewart answers your questions in weekly Twitter Q&A
Our correspondent tackles your posers ahead of a big weekend at the top of the Premier League, backing Tottenham to finish fourth and Jack Rodwell to leave Everton next summer
Goal.com’s correspondent Rob Stewart was on duty for our weekly Twitter Q&A session, answering your queries ranging from the continuing enigma of Fernando Torres as he faces his old club once again to the chances of recent England debutant Jack Rodwell heading to Manchester United.
You can see some of the best questions below:
Will Fernando Torres ever be able to recapture the form he showed at Liverpool? – Jad Okaily
Rob Stewart: “They say that form is temporary and class is permanent, and with that old saying in mind I reckon it’s only a matter of time before Nando gets going again. He has already shown signs that he is close to getting back to his old ways and the way football works it wouldn’t surprise me if he does the business against Liverpool this weekend. Then, as long as he doesn’t try to tackle anyone, just watch him go.”
After recovering from a shocking start to climb up to seventh in the table, where do you see Arsenal now? – JP Oracion
RS: “Most people seem to think that they have suddenly started improving because Robin van Persie has been banging the goals in, and it is true that they owe a lot to their skipper.
“However, I reckon that the key to the upturn in fortunes has been that the defence has got its act together and they have stopped defending like a pub team as the did at Manchester United and Blackburn.
“If you don’t believe me then check out Don Howe’s analysis because that is a man who knows everything there is to know about good defending.”
Who will play up front for Manchester City against Newcastle? – Sebastian
RS: “I’d go for Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero every time. You can’t beat a little-and-large combination because it gives Mancini lots of options. But then again, as long as David Silva stays fit they will be fine with him playing just behind the front two. The way he has come on has amazed me. He’s the sort of player who is worth the admission money.”

Headed for glory? | Rob believes Harry Redknapp can lead Spurs to the top four again
RS: “I can see Champions League football returning to White Hart Lane next season because I expect Harry Redknapp to steer his team into that fourth spot by the end of May.
“It will be close but they have already seen off Liverpool and Arsenal at home and they outplayed Newcastle up at St James’ Park only to draw, so I think they will get back into the top four.
“That will show why Redknapp was right to fight to hold on to Luka Modric because he has been excellent again.”
Could Jack Rodwell join Manchester United in January? – Udunwa Innocent
RS: “Whilst I have it on good authority that Sir Alex is a big fan of Rodwell, he never really does much business in January and I am sure that he will not change his policy this season because they already have plenty of midfielders.
“However, expect him to come in with a big-money offer next summer and a deal will be done and that will see Rodwell’s career really take off just like Wayne Rooney’s did when he left Goodison for Old Trafford.
“And who knows, he might end up being re-united with David Moyes further down the line.”
