'I am here to score goals' - new Everton striker Denis Stracqualursi

Argentina Primera Division top scorer impressed by the Toffees' 'big history' and is looking forward to playing Premier League football during his year long loan on Merseyside
Everton’s new signing Denis Stracqualursi believes that he can be a success at Goodison Park after arriving on loan from Tigre.

The Argentine striker joined the Toffees on a season-long loan on deadline day and will give them extra firepower up front after winning the Argentine Primera Division golden boot last season with 11 goals in 19 games for Tigre.

"I am a striker who plays in the penalty box. I am good at heading the ball and I am strong but I am also good with my feet. But I am here to get in the box and score goals," Stracqualursi told Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old is excited at the prospect of playing Premier League football and looking forward to playing for a club with a great history.

"I know that Everton has a big history in England and is an important club. I am very excited to be here,” he added.

"It is a big opportunity for me and I will do everything I can to help the team.

"It is a pleasure to be here. It is a big club and I am very happy, I will fight as hard as I can to get in the team and play well.”
