Everton are looking to begin their summer squad rebuilding by targeting Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia, according to The Mirror.
The Frenchman has at times been labelled the solitary reason for Wigan's Premier League survival this season, however his transfer fee should be reasonable given that he is entering the final year of his contract.
It is believed a £9m bid might be enough to tempt Wigan to allow the winger to discuss a move away from the DW stadium.
It was previously thought the club was only willing to allow N'Zogbia to move on to a Champions League side, however given that this is the club's last opportunity to cash in on the 25-year-old, they may go back on that claim if there isn't a side of that nature in the running for his signature.
Nigerians Joseph Yobo and Yakubu are likely to make way in order to fund such a move by Everton.
Yobo is looking to make a permanent move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, where he has been on loan this season, and Yakubu is in a similar position after a loan at Championship side Leicester City.
N'Zogbia scored the winning goal for France against Poland on Thursday night, scoring a deflected effort early in the first half to hand his side a 1-0 victory in Warsaw.
