Paul Lambert targets Seagulls midfielder in an attempt to strengthen his squad for competition in the Premier League after protmotion from the Championship
Brighton winger Elliott Bennett is set for a move to newly promoted Norwich City after a £1.5 million bid was accepted, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror understands an improved offer has been accepted by the south coast club, after Canaries boss Paul Lambert had previously failed with a £1m offer in January for the 22-year-old, who scored 13 goals in his 89 appearances for the Seagulls.
Lambert has already been busy in the transfer market with the signing of forward James Vaughan last week from Everton, following the striker's loan spell with Crystal Palace last season.
Former Borussia Dortmund player Lambert is also set to complete the signing of Millwall striker Steve Morison this week.
Leeds United playmaker Robert Snodgrass is another reported target for Norwich, as they look to build a team to compete in the Premier League next season.
The paper suggests Brighton boss Gus Poyet could use the cash to move for Watford’s Will Buckley after his side were promoted to the Championship as champions.
