Welsh boss disciplined after praising referee Howard Webb prior to FA Cup semi-final, with his comments deemed to have fallen foul of regulatory commission lawsStoke City boss Tony Pulis has been warned by the FA for improper conduct following his comments made prior to his side’s semi-final clash against Bolton Wanderers in April.
Pulis' charge echoes the one received by Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti in recent days, with the duo both warned for their remarks about Howard Webb.
And while the 57-year-old’s words on Webb were similarly positive, the FA regulatory commission deems commenting on referees prior to the game as improper.
A statement on the FA’s official website said: “The FA has today warned Tony Pulis as to his future conduct.
“The Stoke City manager's warning relates to his pre-match media comments prior to the FA Cup semi-final against Bolton Wanderers on April 17.”
