The former Le Mans attacker has had his most fruitful term this year, scoring 14 league goals in 32 matches, with the majority of them coming from out wide, beating his tally from the season before in which he netted 13 times.
The Daily Mail reports that Everton boss David Moyes was in Paris on Saturday to watch the Coupe de France final between Gervinho’s Lille and Paris Saint-Germain, a match in which Ludovic Obraniaks scored the winner for Ligue 1 leaders Lille, while Spurs boss Harry Redknapp also indicated he would be at the game.
It is thought that Moyes wants to strengthen his team for next season as his side has often been lacking an attacking threat with poor form and injuries hampering his strikeforce.
Everton are also rumoured to be interested in Reading's Shane Long if the Royals fail to win promotion to the Premier League.
However, Moyes is said to be meeting club chairman Bill Kenwright soon in order to establish what direction Everton can go in during the summer.
“I hope to have the meeting soon to find out what route we can take and how we can go forward,” Moyes explained.
