The France international is reportedly unhappy with his current situation in the Spanish capital and could be on his way to the Premier League this summer for around £22 million
Karim Benzema has attracted the interest of Arsenal with his strong performances for Real Madrid in the past couple of months, Marca reports.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is allegedly looking to add a new attacker to his squad in the summer transfer window to partner Robin van Persie, and has set his sights on the 23-year-old.
Benzema moved to the Spanish capital from Lyon in the summer of 2009 but has struggled to make an impact at the Santiago Bernabeu, despite enjoying a decent goalscoring run of late.
The French international was in impressive form in the first months of 2011, but was dropped from Madrid's starting XI again for the Champions League matches against Barcelona, much to the dismay of the striker.
A report earlier this week suggested that Madrid are determined to hold on to Benzema, but Arsenal are hopeful that an offer in the region of £22 million will be enough to lure him to London.
