thumbnail Hello,

Dimitar Berbatov misses out through injury for the league leaders while John Heitinga has failed a fitness test for the Toffees

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic's omission is the main shock in the team news coming from Old Trafford as Sir Alex Ferguson decides to rest his influential Serbian.

The league leaders will be without Dimitar Berbatov, who has failed to recover from a groin strain, while they are also without Paul Scholes through suspension, and Darren Fletcher who is yet to fully recover from a virus.

Everton welcome back Tim Cahill, though the talismanic Australian is only fit enough for a place on the bench.

John Heitinga has failed a late fitness test on a hamstring problem which forced him off against Blackburn while the game against Manchester United has come to soon for Mikel Arteta to make a long awaited return.

Manchester United will be hoping for a win ahead of Premier League games against Chelsea and Arsenal which are likely to decide where the trophy will end up this season.
