Over a quarter of UK readers have voted for Manchester United winger Nani as PFA Young Player of the Year followed closely by his team-mate Chicharito and Arsenal’s teenage midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Nani has had a prolific season in the Red Devils’ offensive line scoring a total of 10 goals but topping the assists table with 18. The Portuguese winger earned 27.96% of the votes to take top spot.

The Mexican has also been the hero with winning goals against Valencia, Wolves, West Brom, Southampton and West Ham.  He has a total of 18 goals this season and came in just behind Nani with 27.08% of votes

Arsenal’s star teenager has been a revelation this season and was voted for by 25.36% of readers. Wilshere has conquered the hearts of many with his stunning return to Arsenal after spending a year on loan at Bolton and earning a spot in the England national team.

The 19-year-old’s talent has shone through in his impressive performances in the Arsenal midfield, notably in the Champions League fixture against Barcelona where he completed 93.5% of his passes overall and sparkled against the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta.

The runners-up are Samir Nasri with 10.72%, also nominated in the PFA Player of the Year category, Spurs’ Gareth Bale with 6.94%, City’s in-form goalkeeper Joe Hart with 1.68% and Everton’s right back Seamus Coleman with 0.25% votes.
