Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has lavished praise on his players for their display against Manchester City on Monday.
The two sides locked horns in the Premier League, with the Reds chasing Europe and City looking to consolidate their place in the top four.
But a first-half brace from Andy Carroll and a Dirk Kuyt goal saw the hosts take all three points against Roberto Mancini's men.
Dalglish told reporters: "It was very enjoyable.
"I don't know whether it was the best performance [since his return as manager in January] but it was enjoyable.
"We had plenty of opportunities to add to the three goals and it is a great boost for us beating a team as good as Man City 3-0 and deservedly as well.
"It was a greater tribute in the second half, even though they were 3-0 up, that they didn't want to lose a goal and they created a lot of chances as well but unfortunately we didn't put any away.
"It is a great result for the players and won't do them any harm at all."
