16-year-old Universidad de Chile prodigy is excited by reports that Sir Alex Ferguson's are lining up a bid worth up to £3.5 million to take him to England
Although Chile disappointed in the competition and went out in the first round, 16-year-old Henriquez was the stand-out talent as he found the net in three of his four appearances.
His performances have alerted the interest of Sir Alex Ferguson's side, who already have a first option on the youngster and are reportedly considering a £3.5 million move - something which the player admits would be a dream.
"Of course it is amazing that a team like Manchester United have taken an interest in me. They are a huge team at a world level and playing for them would be a dream come true," Henriquez admitted to Triunfo.
"I know that if I want to be a footballer, I have to be very professional and not get caught up in the parties or the gossip columns, besides I don't like that sort of thing," the Santiago native explained.
"For now I am only thinking about the U, making my debut and performing; because Manchester United have told me that I have to start getting experience to make the move to England."
Henriquez has already been to Manchester in order to train with the club, and United have their first option on a transfer valid until 2014.
