Chelsea are lining up another big money move this summer as boss Carlo Ancelotti sees Palermo's Javier Pastore as an ideal addition to his squad, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Argentine playmaker has been rated at £60 million by his club, but it is thought that the Blues will test the Italian side's resolve with a bid of around £30m.

Pastore is one of the hottest properties in world football, and is thought to have been the subject of a bid from Real Madrid last year which Palermo turned down.

However, it seems now that the Sicilians are resigned to letting the 21-year-old leave, as owner Maurizio Zamparini said: “Until the end of season he will play for Palermo. Despite my interest for the club and player, I am already looking for his replacement.

“I feel it will be difficult for an Italian club to buy him. His price is already high at €70m (£60m) - he will move abroad.”

Pastore is rated by the Castrol Rankings as the 97th best player currently plying his trade in one of the top five leagues in Europe.
