Blackburn Rovers' new owners plan to make sensational swoops for Brazilian stars Kaka and Robinho in the summer, according to The Guardian.

Since the Venky’s Group completed their takeover of the Lancashire outfit they have been actively searching for a big name signing, and after missing out on Ronaldinho and Juan Roman Riquelme in January, they will turn to South America once more in the summer.

The Guardian claim the club have checked on the availability of numerous Brazilian stars with Elano, Neymar, Kaka and Robinho all thought to be on the shortlist along with a host of Argentinean players.

Blackburn will face an uphill task to attract the big name South American stars to Lancashire though it is thought the Venky’s Group are ready to offer big wages to secure their targets.

Ronaldinho reportedly turned down a contract offer from Blackburn worth £20 million over three years in favour of a move back to Brazil in January.

It is thought that if the owners are unable to secure a big name signing they will pursue less established rising stars in South America to fulfil their ambition to bring flair to Ewood Park.
