Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier is close to finalising a deal which would see USA midfielder Michael Bradley arrive at Villa Park on a six-month loan deal, with the option of signing permanently in the summer, according to reports.
Talksport suggest Villa are in an advanced stage of negotiations with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach, and hope to acquire the services of the 23-year-old for at least six months, before signing permanently in the summer.
The American has previously been linked with a move to Sunderland, but it now looks likely that Houllier will win the race for his signature.
Michael is the son of USA coach Bob Bradley, and has won 50 caps for his country – a figure relatively high for such a young talent.
