Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand blasts 'prehistoric' Sky presenters Andy Gray & Richard Keys

Kelly Dalglish lets a little sarcasm flow
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hit out at Andy Gray and Richard Keys after they made sexist comments about female assistant referee Sian Massey.

The duo made negative remarks about Massey's ability to adjudicate offside decisions during Saturday's match between Liverpool and Wolves, which resulted in the Sky presenters being suspended for Monday night's coverage of Chelsea's trip to Bolton.

Ironically, Massey got an important decision right during the game, and Ferdinand voiced his anger on his Twitter page.

He said: "I’m all for women refereeing in football, discrimination should not happen in our game at all... prehistoric views if you think otherwise.

"Did anyone see the decision the lineswoman made... top decision."

Kenny Dalglish's daughter, Kelly, who is a television presenter, also had her say on the matter, writing on Twitter: "Phew, am exhausted. Just finished reading about something called the offside rule."
