Struggling Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are to attempt to reshuffle their squad by offloading Dieumerci Mbokani in a potential trade with Everton’s Louis Saha, France Football believes.
Mbokani was acquired in the summer by les Monegasques from Standard Liege for a fee in the region of £6 million but has failed to live up to expectations, regularly flopping in front of goal and striking only one goal in 10 Championnat appearances.
Moreover, he was recently disciplined by coach Guy Lacombe for arriving late to a pre-arranged meeting.
There have been rumours in France that Monaco are keen to offload the flop for around a month, and after beating the Toffees to the striker in the summer it seems that Mbokani could end up on Merseyside in any case.
With Saha badly struggling for form too, it is believed that a capture of the international is possible, especially as the Congo striker would likely be his direct replacement.
Saha has already been linked with a move back to his native land in recent times. On Tuesday, Girondins de Bordeaux coach Jean Tigana was associated with a move to his former Fulham charge.
