Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay believes the Champions League experience around the club will stand them in good stead this season.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has won the competition before, while many of the players have featured in it over the last few years.
“It’s good that we have so much Champions League experience in the back-room staff with Carlo. But we have also got a lot of experience with our players," Gourlay told the Express.
Chelsea face Arsenal next Monday looking to end their recent slump and attempt to keep up with the Gunners and table toppers Manchester United.
"We will learn from this period. It is very difficult to win every game in our league. It is an incredibly competitive league,’’ Gourlay added.
“We just lost our form. Things had been going well. Confidence was high and then we lost three or four of our key players, had one bad result and then a couple more.”
