Marek Hamsik will not leave Napoli for Manchester City, his agent Juri Venglos has insisted.
Despite signing a bumper deal until 2015 earlier this season, Hamsik has been linked with a lucrative switch to the Premier League's big spenders.
First it was Manchester United - with Hamsik seen as heir to Paul Scholes - and now City have become the latest in a long line of clubs linked with the Slovakian hotshot.
But, Venglos made it clear a future away from the San Paolo was unlikely and claimed his client did not want to leave Naples.
"Manchester City have a chance of signing Hamsik? No, no chance," the agent told Sport.co.uk.
"Marek has no intention to leave Napoli."
The striker has been impressive form since arriving in Naples from Brescia back in 2007. He has bagged 37 for Napoli and helped the club to a sixth place finish in Serie A last season.
