Roberto Di Matteo is looking into the possibility of bringing Stoke City misfit Tuncay Sanli to West Bromwich Albion in January, according to The Mirror.
Since moving to the Britannia Stadium in the summer of 2009 for £5 million, the Turkish international has failed to establish himself in the first team or recreate the good form he showed at Middlesbrough that brought about the big money move.
His relationship with Stoke boss Tony Pulis is said to be poor and has only got worse after not even being named on the bench for last Saturday’s clash with Bolton Wanderers.
The Potters will be looking to recoup as much of the £5m as possible if Tuncay does move on, but they may well struggle to do so given his form over the last year.
There is also said to be interest from Besiktas and Galatasaray back in his homeland of Turkey where he is still held in very high regard.
