Frenchman unhappy he didn't hit hat-trick...
Carlo Ancelotti's men did all the damage in a first-half blitz to continue their perfect start to the season with strikes from Salomon Kalou, Malouda and Didier Drogba and when asked if that was the best his side have played in the opening to a match Malouda told Sky Sports:
"I think so, it was a real pleasure for us players out on the pitch and for the fans it was [a pleasure] too. We really enjoyed it and have to do it again."
The Frenchman could have scored a hat-trick given the chances he was presented during the match and the 30-year-old was slightly disappointed the Blues weren't able to score more goals after the interval and believes his side can be more ruthless in the future.
"I tried [to score a hat-trick]. When you have the opportunities that we created, we have to think about that and we can be more efficient.
"But we really enjoyed it out on the pitch. We worked hard as a team. It was not easy at the beginning and as I said it was a real pleasure when you play like that and score goals," Malouda concluded.
The result means Ancelotti's side continue their perfect start to the season as they sit atop the Premier League table.
