Bobby Zamora could be set for an even longer spell on the sidelines after the Fulham striker underwent surgery on his broken leg.
The Fulham official website stated that Zamora went under the knife this morning, having suffered the injury on Saturday's game against Wolves.
The statement added: "The operation was viewed as successful by the surgeon and the fracture to the fibula was repaired, ligament damage was also discovered and repaired during the operation."
The latter part of that statement will be of concern to manager Mark Hughes, who was fearful of any further ligament injury, telling BBC Sport after Saturday's match:
"We're hopeful he hasn't suffered any ligament damage, but if he has he could be out for longer."
