Youngster also pleased to link up with countryman Mauro Boselli...
The 21-year-old, signed for a fee in excess of £1 million from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, is in line to make his first appearance for the Latics against Sunderland at the DW Stadium.
He could start alongside fellow Argentine Mauro Boselli in attack, and hopes he can link up well with his compatriot.
Di Santo told the club's official website: "Mauro is one of the best players in Argentina at the moment, and so I would love to play with him and learn from all of his experience.
"Having so many Spanish speakers at the club has really helped me to settle in and feel at home very quickly.
"I am now very keen to get my first start for Wigan Athletic, and I will be ready on Saturday if the manager decides to play me.
"The game on Saturday will be difficult, but we have confidence in ourselves as a team and in the quality that we have here.
"I hope to bring my energy to the side. I am young and I will try to do my best in every game, and hopefully score some goals."
