Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli out for up to four weeks after undergoing knee surgery - report
Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has reportedly undergone surgery on his knee to correct a problem that is expected to see him sidelined for about a month.
The young forward picked up the injury while playing in a Europa League tie against Timisoara in August, in a game that saw him come off the bench and score the goal that gave City the upper hand in the double header - which they eventually won.
The Eastlands club had hoped that the former Inter hitman would not need to go under the knife, but recently confirmed that the 20-year-old would be operated on.
Now the Daily Mail claims that the ex-Lumezzane man has undergone surgery, and will be out for up to four weeks.
Judging by the timeframe, it comes as a blessing in disguise for City, as it was thought that the forward would be sidelined for six weeks as opposed to the four that is being reported now.
