Goal.com UK Poll Results: Readers back Rafael van der Vaart to star in the hole for Tottenham
Readers looking for Harry to show some Dutch courage...
By Alex Richards
The £8 million acquisition of the Real Madrid playmaker means Spurs have the likes of Van der Vaart, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Lennon, Wilson Palacios and Tom Huddlestone all vying for midfield spots, not to mention youngsters like Sandro and Danny Rose.
And we therefore asked you, our Goal.com UK readers to cast your votes on which personnel you would like Redknapp to use in his Tottenham midfield and in which formation.
And the favoured choice from you, the readers is the "Dutch Courage", which scored 35.33 per cent of the vote and sees a midfield four of Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale with new signing Rafael van der Vaart playing in the hole behind a striker.
In second place came a European style five man midfield - entitled Euro Vision - which took 31.47% of the vote and saw two holding midfielders, Palacios and Huddlestone, paired up with an attacking trio of Lennon, Van der Vaart and Modric.
No matter what, it seems everyone is happy that the Dutchman will be plying his trade at White Hart Lane, and that his talents will be a major asset to Spurs.
