West Bromwich Albion's new signing Somen Tchoyi says that his move to the Premier League is a dream come true.

The Cameroon international, 27, made his debut for Albion in their 1-0 defeat at Anfield on Sunday, coming on as a 75th minute substitute, and he is delighted at having the chance to prove himself in the English top flight.

"I dreamed to play in England and I'm very happy to be here," Tchoyi told the club's official website.

"My idol was Tony Adams - I really like the way he played the game and commanded people.

"I'm more calm and relaxed.

"I'm just excited to see what I can do. I'm really confident I can do well."

Despite Adams being his idol, Tchoyi likes to operate further forward than the old Arsenal captain ever did.

And the new signing is more than happy to become Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo's utility man this season.

"I think I'm a technical player and bring something going forward," he said.

"I also have speed and believe I can change a game.

"I'm here for the team and will play wherever the coach puts me - except in goal.

"I like to play in central midfield where I can be more in the game. But when I moved to Red Bull the coach put me on the right side of midfield - and I like that too.

"Just tell me what to do and I will do it properly."

Thankfully, not a lot happened at Old Trafford while the reporters had their pre-match say. But what I can tell you, as proven by the #ScholesyforEngland hashtag, is that Paul Scholes is storming this game from the middle of the park. And we also have a Liverpool change - Charlie Adam is on for Dirk Kuyt.

David Lynch reports from Goodison Park: “Greetings from Goodison Park where an improving Everton host Champions League chasers Chelsea. The Toffees' expectations may well be higher than usual in meeting such illustrious opponents today given that their last home fixture was an impressive win over league leaders Manchester City. Chelsea's stuttering form will also give David Moyes' side something of a boost, with the Blues having thrown away a 3-0 lead to draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last time out. Unfortunately, new striker Nikica Jelavic is absent from proceedings today with a virus, failing to make even the squad. Everton will hope that Steven Pienaar and home advantage may just be enough to take them over the line.”
