Fulham are believed to be willing to double Bobby Zamora's pay packet in exchange for his renewed commitment to the club, following his breakthrough season last term.
The 29-year-old marksman helped the Cottagers reach their first European final in the history of the club, and could have even been a part of England's World Cup 2010 squad if not for an Achilles problem.
The London-based club are thought to have turned away deadline day advances from Liverpool, as the Reds were on the lookout for a striker owing to the over reliance on Fernando Torres.
Back at Craven Cottage, The Mirror claims that the club are ready of offer Zamora a new £50,000-a-week contract to ensure that he commits the next four years of his career to the west London outfit.
This comes as a remarkable turnaround in the England international's career, as Fulham had accepted an offer from Hull City for the player last summer - only for the forward to turn down the move in the hope of proving his mettle at the Cottage.
