Manchester City save £45m after flogging Robinho to Milan - report

Manchester City coffers could be boosted by £45 million after they flogged record signing Robinho to Milan, according to The Mirror.
Robinho, 26, arrived out of the blue for a British transfer fee record £32.5m in 2008 as owner Sheikh Mansour's arrival signalled a new era at Eastlands. Despite the massive outlay, the Samba star failed to settle and was shipped off to the San Siro on deadline day.
City should recoup £45m out of the transaction after saving around £22.5m in wages and bonus fees they would have had to pay out during the remaining three years on his contract and the £22m fee paid by Milan.
During his two-year spell at City, the Brazilian misfit cost a total £45.65m in transfer and remuneration costs.
The striker's 16 strikes in 53 appearances came at £2.85m a goal and £860,000 a game.
