Lazio's move for Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz has hit a snag on the day he was due to have his medical with the Italian side.
According to Sky Sport Italia, City seem reluctant to sell the hitman in light of developments with Robinho's Milan move.
Lazio had reached an agreement with City and the player over a deal, but it seems the Premier League side have made a u-turn on their Italian promise.
Cruz and his agent were expected in Rome this morning for a medical with Lazio, but neither the player nor agent turned up, according to Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
Neither club have confirmed the situation as things stand.
La Gazzetta dello Sport are now reporting the deal is being held up by wage concerns. Cruz earns around £1.65 million (€2m) per annum at City, but Lazio are offering £1.2m (€1.5m).
