Official: Birmingham City's Marcus Bent joins Wolves on loan until January
Brum outcast makes move to Molineux...
By Adithya Ananth
Birmingham City outcast Marcus Bent has completed a loan move to Wolves.
The 32-year-old joined Brum in 2008, but fell down the pecking order and was loaned out to Middlesbrough in 2009. He also made another temporary move to QPR, and is now poised to join the ranks at Molineux — in a short-term deal that will send him up the M6 until at least January 4.
"Marcus is an experienced striker who has played plenty of Premier League football and scored goals," said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey, on the club's official website.
"People still talk about whether we've got enough Premier League experience, and Marcus will add to that.
"He's also a different type of striker to what we have in that he's a physical presence.
"We needed someone after the departure of Andy Keogh and Marcus can do a job for us."
