Marc Wilson arrives at Stoke City to complete his part-exchange move from Portsmouth
Liam Lawrence and Dave Kitson reportedly moving the other way...
By Chris Davie
Promising defender Marc Wilson has arrived at Stoke City ahead of his proposed move to the Potters.
According to Talksport, Portsmouth will get a transfer fee plus midfielder Liam Lawrence and striker Dave Kitson as part of the deal.
The versatile 23-year-old was a product of Manchester United’s youth setup before moving to the South Coast club in 2004. Wilson was called up to the Ireland squad for their friendly against Brazil in March but he did not feature.
Manager Tony Pulis has already bolstered his squad over the summer, with the signings of strikers Kenwyne Jones and Jonathan Walters, along with veteran goalkeeper Carlo Nash.
Both Lawrence and Kitson have long been linked with exits from the Britannia Stadium this summer, after falling out of favour at the club.
