Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez eyeing move to Liverpool - agent
Reds move would be hard to reject...
By Zack Wilson
Bayern Munich forward Mario Gomez is keen on joining Liverpool, according to his agent.
The German international is seeking more regular first team football after dropping down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena.
The Reds are believed to have made a loan enquiry about the player, and his representative Uli Ferber admits that a move to Anfield would be difficult to turn down.
"When a club like Liverpool inquires, their interest cannot be pushed off the table," Ferber told Kicker.
However, Bayern's sporting director, Christian Nerlinger, has insisted that no one will be leaving Bayern before the transfer window slams shut.
"Bayern Munich are not a superstore for other clubs to come and help themselves to players," Nerlinger warned.
"No player will be leaving and they will certainly not be leaving on loan."
