Wigan Athletic are aiming to boost their squad by bringing in striker Franco Di Santo from Chelsea and midfielder Tom Cleverley from Manchester United, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Latics are apparently closing in on a £2m permanent deal for Di Santo, whilst Cleverley could arrive on loan.
Cleverley spent much of last season on loan at Championship outfit Watford, winning the club's Player of the Year award in the process.
Argentine Under-20 international Di Santo spent last season on loan at Wigan's Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers, though he struggled to make much of an impact at Ewood Park after an initially promising start.
