Blackpool are expected to sign DJ Campbell from Championship side Leicester City in the next few days, according to Sky Sources.
The Premier League newcomers are believed to have made a number of bids for the striker in the summer but failed to get their man.
Seasiders boss Ian Holloway has been an admirer of Campbell for some time and looks set to sign the forward before the end of the transfer window on Tuesday.
Campbell joined Blackpool on loan last season and played a huge part in helping them win promotion to the Premier League with a hat-trick in the play-off semi-final against Nottingham Forest which sent them to Wembley.
