Stoke City are believed to be on the verge of skipping past West Bromwich Albion and securing the signature of Portsmouth skipper Marc Wilson.
Pompey boss Steve Cotterill recently admitted that the 23-year-old could be on his way out of the club before the game against Cardiff City this weekend, and now the Daily Mail claims that the Potters are set to sign the player for a fee of £3 million plus Dave Kitson.
The South Coast club are thought to have turned down two bids from West Brom worth £2.5m and £3m, as the manager had previously maintained that the player was not for sale.
However, Stoke are reportedly on the brink of capturing the player, while packing Kitson away at the same time.
