Blackburn Rovers are interested in securing the services of striker Denni Avdic from Swedish club Elfsborg before the close of the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Elfsborg have confirmed that they are in negotiations with a number of clubs over the transfer of the 21-year-old, with their sports director Stefan Andreasson telling Boras Tidning, "Because we are discussing with some clubs it does not mean that others are excluded. We have to see if anybody is serious about Denni at the end of the day."
Blackburn are said to be monitoring the striker, with manager Sam Allardyce reportedly impressed by the forward's scoring prowess. Avdic has 17 goals to his name so far this season in Sweden and is the league's top scorer.
Serie A side Bologna are also keen on landing Avdic before the transfer window shuts.
