Everton winger Steven Pienaar is thought to be in line to see out the remainder of his contract at Goodison Park.
The Toffees midfielder has only a year left on his current deal with the Merseyside club, and has been heavily linked with an exit to ply his trade in greener pastures - as the club cannot offer him European football this season.
However, manager David Moyes has in the past expressed hope that he would be able to hold on to his best players, while assistant boss Steve Round recently echoed a similar sentiment.
Now the Daily Mail reports that the South Africa international will likely remain at the club to play a part in the ongoing Premier League campaign, and evaluate his options as his contract expires.
Pienaar has in the past been linked with moves to Tottenham, Aston Villa and Inter.
