Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has praised Javier Hernandez's impact since arriving at the club.
Hernandez, 22, scored on his competitive debut against Chelsea in the Community Shield and was handed his first start in the weekend draw at Fulham. Despite being withdrawn early from the contest, the Mexico international showed flashes of the ability that made manager Sir Alex Ferguson splash out £6 million on him from Chivas.
Speaking to United's official website, Giggs welcomed the Mexican's arrival in the dressing room.
He said: "He’s made a big impression.
“He’s still learning the game, not only on the pitch, but off it too. He’s a bubbly character and he’s great to have around the dressing room.
"It’s been a lot easier to get to know him because he speaks perfect English. He joined us on tour which always helps a player settle, and we saw first hand how big he is in Mexico. He looks a great acquisition, both on and off the pitch."
