Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson: Javier Mascherano and Dirk Kuyt are not leaving the club
Anfield boss personally spoke with Inter's president Massimo Moratti...

The midfielder has been linked with a move to the San Siro, where the arrival of Rafael Benitez has fuelled speculation that the Argentine is willing to follow the former Liverpool manager.
Hodgson has maintained his desire to keep the 26-year-old at Anfield, although reports have suggested a move to Italy could be on the cards if the European champions weigh in with an offer of £25 million.
Mascherano’s Liverpool team-mate, Dirk Kuyt has also been linked with a move to Italy, but Hodgson has confirmed that he has talked with Inter’s president Massimo Moratti personally.
"I spoke to Massimo Moratti about the fact they are not going to buy Liverpool players,” Hodgson told reporters.
"I believe they were only interested in two of our players and they are not going to buy them. Moratti said they are not going to do that."
Alberto Aquilani, however, is one Liverpool player who has been granted a move to Italy.
The midfielder has failed to make an impact following his £20 million move from Roma last year, and Hodgson has admitted the injury-ravaged 26-year-old may benefit from a loan move to a club in his home nation.
